Rise in electricity prices
Lahore: (Pakistan) Bad news has come out for the people suffering from poverty. NEPRA has approved to increase in the price of electricity by Rs4.85 per unit.
The first shock to power consumers after the transfer of government, NEPRA has approved an increase in the price of electricity by Rs 4.85 per unit. It has been reported that the increase has been made in the context of fuel adjustment for April. CPPA G had requested an increase of Rs 4.94 per unit.
The notification authority held a public hearing on NCA on March 31, 2022. NEPRA had earlier charged Rs 5.94 paise from NCA customers in January, which was only for one month. The FCA of February will be charged Rs 1.9 less in April as compared to January. This will apply to April bills as well. According to the notification, the increase will apply to all customers except Lifeline customers and will not apply to K Electrical customers.
